Patrick Bourke,
MC, CCC
Hi, I’m Patrick Bourke, a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with a Master of Counselling. I help men who feel stressed, overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck reconnect with who they are and build lives that actually feel good to live. My style is calm, direct, and practical. You get a space where you can talk through what’s weighing on you and leave with tools that work in real life. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and aim to create a grounded and culturally responsive space for honest work. https://yourcounsellorcanada.ca/
Approach to Therapy
My approach is collaborative and down-to-earth. We work as a team. I draw from evidence-based approaches like Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Relapse Prevention, mindfulness, and strength-based practice. Sessions focus on practical strategies, clear goals, and building confidence through small wins. You won’t get jargon, judgment, or pressure to “open up” before you’re ready. Instead, we move at your pace, using tools that match your personality, values, and cultural context.
Client Focus
I work primarily with teen boys, and adult men who are navigating stress, anxiety, burnout, relationship challenges, substance use, life transitions, and a sense of disconnection from themselves or others. Whether you want to feel calmer, regain control, drink less, improve your relationships, or simply feel more like yourself again, we shape the work around what matters most to you. To ensure clients receive the right support, I do not work with children, couples, or families. If someone’s needs fall outside my scope, I provide referrals to trusted colleagues so they receive the right level of care.
Confidentiality Statement
Your privacy and trust matter. All sessions are confidential and follow the ethical standards of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Nothing we discuss is shared unless required by law to keep someone safe. The space is yours to speak freely and openly.
